Neurosurgery
Neurosurgery is a surgical specialty dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders involving the brain, spinal cord, and nerves. Most common problems include herniated discs in the neck or back, spinal stenosis and carpal tunnel syndrome. Dr. Omsberg has special expertise in microscopic techniques and minimally invasive spine surgery. This greatly enhances visualization and protection of the neural elements and reduces the soft tissue discomfort from the procedure. Both short term and overall outcome from surgery is improved and patients resume activities sooner and move comfortably.
